March 1985

As a new employee again, I only receive two weeks of annual vacation. That is not long enough to go overseas. I wouldn't get that coveted third week until my fifth year. To provide some flexibility, I only took only one week of vacation the first year, banking the second.

Andy, my New York Greek Island companion called me up and suggested a late winter escape to Aspen. I readily agreed and met him out there. Spring skiing in Colorado is great. There is still snow despite the mild weather. I took a ski lesson improving my skill. Enough that I was able to run the Slalom course with a decent time. One evening, we went to the Wheeler Opera House to see Lily Tomlin. She way trying out her routine before the opening of her Broadway show, Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
